Cindy Sanchez, an instructor for the American Red Cross since 2001. She is also certified as a Red Cross Pet First Aid Instructor. In addition, she has completed more than 100 hours of training to become a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Level 3, requiring successful completion of ER classes for cardiac and respiratory emergencies, trauma and disaster operations, emergency childbirth, oxygen administration, AED, backboard extrication and crisis intervention.
Cindy has a spectrum of training from Animal Disaster Response from HSUS, American Humane on Disaster Action Team and Disaster Animal Response.
Cindy is formerly of the National Response group Noah’s Wish where she held an Assistant Coordinator title.
Before she started training people, she was training dogs for over 30 years in a variety of specialties. She was active in search-and rescue training as well as protection training. Her dogs achieved national distinction in prominent competitions with American Working Dog Federation, United Schutzhund Clubs of America, DBG America (also for Schutzhunds, and United Belgian Shepherd Dog Association. She is the business owner of Planet Doggy Inc. in Pasadena, CA — a dog daycare, boarding, training, grooming and educational facility.
